WHY IS OCEAN WATER SALTY?
Several natural process makes ocean water salty.
For example: when it rains water droplets react with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and make carbonic acid making rain water slightly acidic.
this acidic rain water then reacts with the minerals present in the rocks and form new minerals and salts.
these minerals and salts then carried by flowing water into the ocean hence making the ocean water salty.
